It's as American as Apple Pie....

And who doesn't love apple pie? After returning from Spring Training in Peoria, AZ, our Seattle Mariners return to the Emerald City to kick off Opening Day on Thursday, March 29 at 7:10p with a game against the Cleveland Indians.  This opening game is all about superstar pitcher, Felix Hernandez, who will be the 7th pitcher to be in the Opening Line Up for his 10th consecutive time.

If you are looking for something FUN to do here in the Northwest, we hope you will attend a game this season and cheer on our hometown team!

I live in Snohomish (near Mill Creek) and I have for almost 20 years, so hearing stories of friends and neighbors spotting wildlife never surprises me....let's face it they were here long before the big developments in which we reside were built.   These sightings always seems to occur more often both in the last fall as it gets colder and food is harder to find for these critters BIG and small, but also at this time of year in the spring, in particular when the bears (yes, bears) are coming out of hibernation and looking for some snacks.

Over the last 2 weeks and in particular the last 2 days, I've read several posts on social media of sightings that were way to close to home for me of a big black bear who took down a neighbor's fence just a block

Working as a real estate broker here in the Greater Seattle area, I have an opportunity to see so many beautiful homes.  And while touring these homes I often come across design elements or features that sometimes just speak to me.  Whether it's an idea I like for myself that someday, I'd like to replicate or an idea that I just can't help from saying "how cool is that"? Regardless, I always try and snap a photo so I won't forget.

A few years back I had gone out with clients to tour a stunning custom home in the Three Lakes area of , and once I pulled onto the driveway of this exceptional home I knew it was going to be special.  Aside from the Iron archway that greeted you as you pulled in, there was a terrific little putting green to the left

QUESTION:  I’m selling my house. What do I need to disclose to potential buyers?

The time has come to sell your home. You’re working with your real estate agent, getting your house cleaned up and ready to sell, and looking for your next home. But, as the offers start rolling in, what types of information about your home are you required to disclose to potential buyers?

Not so long ago, the world of residential real estate was “buyer beware.” But, in more recent years, sellers are being held legally responsible when they don’t disclose a major flaw that they have material knowledge of, and the buyer later discovers the flaw and wants restitution. In fact, 75% of real estate agents who took the National Association of Realtors’ Legal Scan survey

Having Problems with Mildew in Your Bathroom?

If your bathroom has problems with moisture, mildew and peeling paint, an exhaust fan is the best solution. You could have a fan installed in the ceiling or, if that's not practical, perhaps you can put a fan directly in an exterior wall. Reduce bathroom moisture problems by wiping down wet surfaces after a shower and removing wet towels. Keep the bathroom door open after a shower. Consider using a small fan to circulate air into the hall. You can also use a special paint that resists mildew and peeling. First, kill existing mildew with laundry bleach and water. Scrape away any loose paint, and sand the surfaces smooth. Spackle as needed. Then paint with Zinsser brand Perma-White Bathroom Wall and

What's Important to You?

Whenever I meet a new client, I like to take some time and get to know them so that as we push forward to find the "right" house for them we are able to check the boxes off of what's important to them.   I always ask them to tell me first their {WANTS} and then their {NEEDS}....  so let's talk about how deciphering between the two can keep your eyes open to the big picture and not miss out on what might be the perfect gem.  So let's get to it!

{WANTS} Obviously, it is just that..... what do you WANT in your new home.  Here are some prime examples:

  • 3-Car Garage
  • 4 Bedrooms
  • Fully-Fenced Yard for your four legged babies
  • Big Kitchen with Stainless Steel Appliances
  • 2.5 Bathrooms

{NEEDS} Now let's dig a
