Another {Halloween} has come and gone.... and I don't know about you but I ALWAYS buy way too much candy and inevitably have leftovers just sitting there in my pantry begging to be eaten.   And trust me, I don't need the extra calories and regret it every time I reach in to grab a piece.  Well, I have discovered an amazing solution!  Today, on Facebook a long-time friend of mine, Colleen, shared a post that just warmed my heart.  Colleen is a mother to an active serviceman, as well as married to a veteran - they are a true military family and so thrilled to claim them as friends.  So what was so wonderful about this post that Colleen shared?  It was simple and to the point, along with the two following photos she added the words, "Yep, just putting

  • Find out what day the school year begins and what time your child’s class starts.
  • Fill out emergency contact sheets and all other required forms.
  • Schedule a physical exam if it’s needed for school activities and sports.
  • Have your child’s vision checked… even if they currently wear glasses, make sure their prescription   hasn’t changed).
  • Notify the school with any health concerns or needed medications.
  • Check the school website for a list of required supplies & go shopping.
  • Don’t forget a backpack or bag to carry it all in.
